Vivarium

Red light can help preserve animals’ natural behaviors without disrupting their circadian rhythm or causing stress. Animal Research Facilities use a narrow spectrum wavelength at 630nm in red.

Night Vision

Red light is commonly used when preserving night vision is important, such as in military operations, astronomy, and in areas like observatories or when navigating at night.

Correctional Environments

Red light in correctional facilities is important because it helps reduce aggression and calm inmates by regulating sleep cycles for inmates after being exposed to 24 hours of artificial lighting. It is also very useful to reduce eye strain in surveillance rooms or monitoring stations.

Our HRA series features an Asymmetrical / Symmetrical optical system meeting the requirements for all three surgical suite zones. Green lights can be used as a signaling tool, as they can be easily seen in low-light environments without the intensity of red or white lights.
