Animal Research Facilities use a narrow spectrum wavelength at 630nm in red. This helps keep the animals comfortable and diminishes stress during the simulated “night” habitat. Lighting is a critical factor in both circadian rhythms and breeding cycles in nocturnal animals. Here at LC Doane, we offer a Red/White combination for these spectrally-sensitive applications. Made from cold-rolled steel, aluminum and stainless steel, these tightly sealed fixtures prevent contaminants from getting into the housing while being jet spray washdown worthy and offering an efficient lighting solution.
